Bombay (We only do Traditional!)
The Bombay is an American "woman made "breed established by a breeder named Nikki Horner (Shawnee Cattery) in the '70's.. who bred Burmese to black American shorthair to develop the breed. The Bombay resembles the black leopard of India, hence the name. They are similar in personality to the Burmese, with short, close lying, satiny coats and round deep gold or dark copper eyes. They have muscular bodies with round heads. They are easygoing, friendly, charming and cuddly. The Bombay is known as the "patent-leather kid with the new penny eyes". Basically a healthy cat although eyes may tear. Some lines may have the contemporary Burmese in their pedigrees.
